A dedicated artist, accredited with versatility in
subject matter and mediums, Dino's textures and tonal
values are evident in both oils and pastels. Dino is
internationally renowned for his animal studies.
A native of Italy, Paravano moved to Johannesburg with
his family when he was twelve. Encouraged by his father
from childhood, Dino studied at the Johannesburg College
of Art, supplementing his education with study tours
in South Africa, as well as Europe and the United States.
Dino has held 14 solo exhibitions in South Africa, New
York and London, and participated in 220 international
group shows. Paravano has 40 reproductions, has illustrated
three books, seven Museum dioramas, has work published
in eleven books; received six awards and is frequently
featured in magazine articles. In 1993, Dino was awarded
Master Wildlife Artist, by the Leigh Yawkey Woodson
Art Museum.
In 1992 Dino moved to the US where he now lives in
Tucson, Arizona with his wife, Kiki.
